Wizarding Wear: Term XXVI, Activity 1: Fashion Trends

Activity: Fashion Trends - a discussion
Points: initial comment: 10 points, 2pts per additional comment
Deadline: May 15th, 21:00 UTC
Details: Every summer we have new fashion trends but do you like them? What would you change?
And do you think the Harry Potter characters would wear them?

So let's have a little debate. It's about fashion and I know that I love to talk about what models have been wearing on the runway (and well, when watching Germany's next topmodel I also laugh about the "models")
Anyways, like every summer there are some must-wears - at least that's what Fashion magazines tell us. But what do you think about these must-wears? Do you like them? Hate them? And would Hermione, Ron, Draco or Snape wear them? I googled some of the trends and posted the pictures so you have an idea what to talk about.

After reading through a bunch of this and looking at recent style, I need to ask - are your cropped pants skinny jeans by any chance? Because I've noticed that those are a little easier to pull off than cropped pants with wide legs. Girls that wear skinny jeans that are cropped just look like they're wearing leggings (in my opinion, at least) and it actually looks god!

Not exactly... They're not skinny, more like... slim and straight? Think Audrey Hepburn. I have a plaid pair that's especially retro and rather warm, black ones that are lighter, and grey ones that look a bit sirwal but still really classy (I really like this one, haha). I do think it looks good. The important thing in my opinion is that it does not look as if it was too short or too wide and too short. If it really looks like it's supposed to be short, it can look lovely. I wear them with ballerinas usually, occasionally pumps.
