Wizarding Wear: Term XXVI, Activity 1: Fashion Trends

Activity: Fashion Trends - a discussion
Points: initial comment: 10 points, 2pts per additional comment
Deadline: May 15th, 21:00 UTC
Details: Every summer we have new fashion trends but do you like them? What would you change?
And do you think the Harry Potter characters would wear them?

So let's have a little debate. It's about fashion and I know that I love to talk about what models have been wearing on the runway (and well, when watching Germany's next topmodel I also laugh about the "models")
Anyways, like every summer there are some must-wears - at least that's what Fashion magazines tell us. But what do you think about these must-wears? Do you like them? Hate them? And would Hermione, Ron, Draco or Snape wear them? I googled some of the trends and posted the pictures so you have an idea what to talk about.

See, I think bold graphics have too much personality, which is why I probably don't like them that much, aha. And while one can definitely focus more on the textures and fabrics when wearing grey, I find it too boring of a color.

I kind of like to mix it up, put it somewhere in the middle.

I definitely don't like graphic prints everywhere---it can definitely get to be too much for me. Like, I wouldn't wear super bold pants, because there's so much of them. But I do have a graphic print pencil skirt that I like to wear, usually with a plain shirt.

I just love grey. It's not boring at all to me. :)

See, I think if you can tone down the boldness of a graphic print with something simple, then you're good, but if all you're wearing is graphic prints, then I'm going to be squinting my eyes, aha.

TBH, I think it depends on the grey for me.

Yeah, I agree that tons of graphic prints can be a little overly-busy. There's something to be said for having at least a remnant of subtlety. ;)

ohhh, a graphic print pencil skirt sounds lovely. That's the kind of graphic that I'm a fan of. Like one piece of an outfit whether it's a skirt or a top, with another more simple piece. That is my book works out very well.
