I think the 90s nostalgia would work if there was a bit of a twist to it, where you don't just dive into any 90s closet and start wearing all the old trends unironically. But that's the thing with fashion, right? It's progression still, whatever you do, so if you can do a spin on it to make it make sense within the context of the times, I'd be able to see it working.
