I think instead of a head-to-toe look with 90's era styles, it'd be more fun to throw in a nostalgia piece with modern day clothing to kind of... make a unique twist.

Yes, that's extremely relevant. 90s did see some very awful clothes... Keeping it to a well-chosen touch now and then might be wise!

Prints are fun as long as they're not overwhelming, so I think there's a chance each style could be done right.
