Unfortunately, I also feel sometimes it veers off into hipster territory. To me, wearing something nostalgic should be because you appreciate the nostalgia of it, not because you want to look "cool" or "cutting edge'.
Yes, I agree so much with this... Although it's cool that when you like something, it becomes cool and nobody bugs you for wearing it anymore haha (see: my tye and dye Jim Morrison t-shirt I inherited from my mum, haha).
Grey on Grey - Hate it. I love grey, mind you, but you need something to break the monotony of it. A splash of color does wonders.
Grey on Grey + black + neon yellow would actually be my first choice. That looks absolutely kickass.
