At first I was sceptical, cause the reasoning sounds a lot like some bigoted pureblood bs, but there's a tiny bit of thruth in it, I think.
Common sense should dictate us to live peacefully together, but one has just to glimpse at a newspaper to see that rationality is absent in some cases...
So I don't really see a way for wizards and muggles living peacefully side by side. But perhaps I'm just too sceptical.
