Music Club: Play Me A Prompt (Term XXIII Activity #02)

Activity: Play Me A Prompt
Points: 5 points per fic/art; maximum of 30 points.
Deadline: Thursday, May 31st @ 21:59 UTC (timezone converter).
Details: Comment with at most five song prompts (i.e. a title, line/s, or an entire song). Then, browse through the other comments and use these prompts to write fic or create art - Harry Potter related. (Fic should be at least 250 words long, art can be anything, just no doodles. Show that you put some effort in your work!) You will receive five points per fic/art you submit with a maximum of 30 points. [livejournal.com profile] starianprincess, recognise this activity? 5 bonus points to you, if you participate!

Note: I turned notifications off for this, so if there are any questions, comments, music notes etc don't hesitate to PM me! (Also, I won't be here until Sunday or Monday, so if it takes me some time to answer, that's why. I'll get back to it, though, I promise!)

Note #2: Since there will be no roster grace periods at the end of activities, double check if you're on it. :)

Music expresses that which cannot be said and on which it is impossible to be silent. Victor Hugo recommends you to join the Club.

Charlie/Dudlley (i know, wtf brain); aren't you curious?

Muggles who’re introduced to anything even vaguely related to wizard-things are always so fascinated. Fascinated with how things work and how the lights come on and how did you make that come here and can you turn this into yellow next? It’s a constant stream of questions and more questions and then some more – and at the end of it he usually gets laid so it’s not like he really cares.

This man, though, he’s big (taller and bigger than he is, which is saying something) and he’s only here because he’s part of something or the other and he’s looking at him with such wonder (and something else is there – guilt? Disappointment? Regret?) Charlie is intrigued.

Later, after a lot of drinks, the man will start talking. About a cousin he had once, a guy who was strange, weird, other words too slurred for Charlie to make sense of them. About things he’d done that he wish he hadn’t. Charlie nods sympathetically because all he’s really thinking is ‘christ, look at those hands’ and says what he must.

And then later yet, when he’s lying in bed and the man mumbles in his sleep, he’ll put two and two together and say, “Oh fuck,” because he’s got a family dinner tomorrow, and he doesn’t think Harry’ll like this. But he pulls the other man closer anyway (and he should really try to remember his name) and use his wand to do something that he doesn’t really need a wand to do just to see the slight wonder in his eyes.
