01. This music is dark to me and represents betrayal or hopelessness. It also has a ~medieval epicness to it. In my head I see someone heading off into battle, vastly outnumbered; a mother falling to her knees after finding out her son has been slain; a king realizing his hand has sold him out to the enemy.

02. Again, I'm transported to a much earlier time period - Queens and knights and gladiators. This music makes me think of someone earnestly traveling, maybe to deliver news or stop something from happening. Again, it doesn't evoke happy, positive emotions, but more a feeling of desperation.

03. This music is much more modern, kinda ~chill music compared to the first two. I can see a young couple driving in a car at night somewhere, holding hands over the center console, maybe running away together. There's a kind of hopefulness to the music, with undertones of danger and possibility.

04. Okay so right away, the first thing that popped into my head was the characters from Skins, at a club, everything all trippy with strobe lights and lots of sweaty people dancing. lol THIS IS MY BRAIN, OKAY? but I definitely immediately think rave, lots of colors.

05. OK, this music is totally eerie, like.. driving up a winding road to a haunted mansion where the audience KNOWS some freaky shizz is about to go DOWN. I get a kind of ~supernatural scary feeling from it for sure. Movies like The Haunting of Hill House and The Others come to mind.

06. This one made me immediately think of technology.. all the beeps and stuff.. I just pictured someone sitting at a computer.. except theres definitely an urgency to the beat.. so maybe someone is trying to crack a code before time runs out or hack into a system or something of the sort.

07. This music is kind of trippy and it makes me think of nighttime or a dark place. There's something kind of sensual about it, but not at all loving. I could see strippers dancing to it lol idk idk. OR WAIT.. it also kind of makes me think of montages in CSI where they show them running the evidence in the lab ... again, idk. i didn't get a strong, immediate mental picture from this one.

08. There is totally something ethereal about this music. I immediately think light and white and glow and gauze and... gaussian blur lmao. It's a little on the creepy side too though. Ghost music, but not ~evil. Spirits.

09. This music, again, has urgency to it. It's definitely very action movie-esque to me. I can see someone running to escape, machine gun slung over their shoulder. There's a rock edge to it.. makes me think of black and reds and oranges, like fires and explosions.

10. This music has a futuristic feel to it. It makes me think of outer-space and stars and exploration. I immediately had, like, those Odyssey into Space IMAX movies pop into my head.

01. This sounds like the start of a battle to me. The armies are lining up, breathing heavily, and then when the music really starts, the fight begins. In slow motion, because I see things like movies, apparently.
02. In keeping with the apparently roman theme, this is a soldier returning home to his wife. He's full of glory, the pride of winning battles, but he wants to see her. She is the softer side to the music, he is the crashes and the harsh side.
03. This is beautiful, but almost bittersweet. This is somebody leaving their lover - it's got the promise of a return but the burn of loss. It's somebody hurting, but the light at the end of the tunnel that promises happiness soon.
04. This is dancing, freedom, ecstasy. It's somebody dancing with a stranger they're attracted to, somebody sweating with the effort but somebody absolutely happy in that moment.
05. This is mourning. Somebody has lost someone. It's revenge, too. They want revenge, and they will get it. The person they loved is lost, and they have nothing else to lose.
06. I LOVE THIS SONG. SO MUCH. ROYKSOPP ARE MY FAVOURITE. This is a summers day, sitting in the grass, with the sun beating down, with your best friend. It's spending the day laughing and joking and being happy. It's dancing together, for no particular reason, but because you can.
07. This is waiting. For something, or someone. It's waiting at the brink, just waiting and expecting. There's no joy, just cold, calm, collected, patience.
08. This is falling asleep. Drifting off, curled up in your bed alone, watching the lights out of the window and just slowly falling asleep. The space between dreaming and awake.
09. This is panic, terror, the rush of your heartbeat as you freak the fuck out. This is being self contained, not being chased, but being alone and so very, very scared. This is waiting, becaus you know this is an end.
10. This is the future. This is travel and the unknown and being so excited to learn. This is being on a train at night, going somewhere new, with hopes and dreams and only positive thoughts.

1. This feels very dark in the first opening notes. Like someone is about to go to war, about to do something life changing, extremely drastic and dramatic. It feels very, very battle-like and I can clearly imagine two sides battling it out on a field, lots of hurt and anger coming across easily.

2. I think I'm really good at just picturing music with would-be scenes from movies and/or movie montages because this one feels like it's from an early era, perhaps around the time of the Titanic. There's an ease about the start but then it gets into the heavier side and it feels like there was a betrayal or something just as bad. The music is brilliant though. The ending feels very final as well, like whatever happened was sudden and shocking.

3. This one I’m imagining someone sitting, facing a window, the sun is setting in the sky and they have an acoustic guitar on their knee, strumming away. As the music introduces more instruments, I see the person wandering the streets, head bowed, deep in thought. As they walk along, they’re thinking about how to solve whatever problem it is they have, trying to find the best solution for them.

4. I see a kaleidoscope of colours in this one like I’m in a night club where there are lots of different coloured flashing lights. The first minute or so of the music feels very up-beat and happy and I could clearly see people getting their groove on to this song.

5. Ohh, eerie violin music makes me feel like there has been some kind of dramatic death that needs to be covered up by an awesome instrumental piece. It’s quite eerie and dramatic at the start and continues on throughout the entire piece. I see someone fawning over their lost love, crying and willing them to wake up again (gosh, I am morbid in this post!) especially because the end is so final. It just cuts off and that’s all there is to it.

6. This one feels like a very good dance beat. I see a lot of people dancing wherever they are, regardless of their surroundings and who is there. It’s got a good beat and it feels like that scene from Matrix: Reloaded where everyone is dancing and celebrating. Though, as the piece goes on, it changes feel a little bit. Still feels like a dance piece but it also feels like a bit of a chase scene or a big discovery scene from an older movie or tv show. (I really need to get more creative with my answers.)

7. This feels like something out of The Outsiders movie. Like the calm before the storm. As the piece goes on, I feel like that storm comes and wipes out everything in its path, uncaring and unforgiving and everyone is just left with the clean up. Of their lives, their homes – everything.

8. With this one, it feels like a bit of a movie montage in my mind. It feels like it's a cross between a ballet dancer practicing and something from Torchwood (no, I haven't seen Black Swan either). When I heard the first opening notes, all I could see in my mind was a ballet dancer dancing across a dark stage, one lone spotlight shining down on her but as the music went on, I saw the montage of different things, life flitting on, important moments getting a glimpse of 'screen time'. Overall, it had a bit of an ethereal feel to it.

9. This one is extremely eerie to start with. It sounds like something out of a horror movie or something equally scary. Ohh, different beat. Nope, still scary to me. I’m not going to listen to this whole piece, I’m a wimp and that was a bit freaky for me. Definitely a battle piece if I ever heard one.

10. This definitely has a futuristic feel to it. Like someone is seeing what the future will be like, how the world will be in the years to come. Seeing outer space and the galaxy. It’s a very soothing piece (compared to the last few at least) and it feels like I’m travelling through space, seeing everything with this person for the first time.

1. Dark grey, lots of clouds rolling in with the threat of being severe; it’s like there’s static in the air. It’s about noon, but so dark that it casts everything in a very tense, ominous light. Outside of a large house, someone’s mansion maybe. The bright emerald green grass stands in stark contrast.

2. Lots of steel, teal and marble. Lightning and thunder. There’s a battle going on in the background, but the main focus of the scene is between two combatants who haven’t started to fight yet. It isn't clear if they will.

3. A teenage boy is in his room, trying to decide what to do. He gets up and walks outside. He appears intent as he crosses town and there’s a sense that something tragic is going to happen, something final.

4. After waking up in a London hotel room, a man gets in his car and drives through a long, dark tunnel with light flashing at him intermittently. He takes care of some private business and heads back to the hotel, where a woman is waiting for him in the dark. He lies down and she talks to him. He closes his eyes and tries to imagine he is somewhere else.

5. Someone is being punished for something they didn’t do. They’ve accepted the futility of their situation, but there is someone else who hasn’t. It feels like something that should never have happened in the first place.

6. All I can think of is the beginning of a sequel to Shaun of the Dead, where footage of people going about their dull, everyday lives is accompanied by the opening credits. The zombies take over in a country/region where they hadn’t last time (possibly America) and Shaun and Liz make a cameo towards the end as the Skyping internet consultants of a pack of survivors who came into contact with them due to their prior experience.

7. A cowboy-esque figure is wandering around, nothing in particular in mind. He doesn’t feel anything. He’s just waiting for something to happen.

8. A young girl is sick and reading a book in her bed by the moonlight from her window. At this point it’s mainly just staring at the pictures with a futile longing in her stomach. She starts feverishly drifting off and begins to hear such fantastic sounds that she forces herself awake again and tries to make it to the window. She’s sure the noise is coming from outside. Being very weak and having a large room, she finally gets there and is immediately entranced by she sees in the night sky.

9. A nameless person is running from something. They run for days, across all sorts of landscapes and in all types of weather. They are exhausted but cannot stop. They suddenly run through a shadow and disappear, leaving whatever was chasing them frustrated.

10. An empty hospital. It doesn’t seem to be abandoned, there just aren’t any people in it. It stops short of being creepy but maintains a certain level of strange. There's no end to it in sight.
