I absolutely think that Minerva McGonagall would have been a great member of the Slug Club. She has incredible leadership abilities (she becomes the head of Gryffindor house, that's pretty impressive!) and she knows how to remain calm under pressure. Furthermore, she was a very powerful witch. Her capabilities in transfiguration and in the fact that she's an Animagus, which not just anyone can become, show that she has a lot of talents that Slughorn would respect. She knows how to make people listen to her, and tell people what to do--she just commands respect when she's in a room. I feel very sure she would have been similar even when she was younger.

I completely agree with this! Leadership abilities, power, talents and the ability to bring positive attentiion to herself are definitely traits that the Slug Club would benefit from!

I love McGonagall and it's not for no reason; she is a fantastic witch and an amazing teacher. She is very supportive of her students and willing to spend time with them outside of the classroom to help or advise them. She has a great head on her shoulders and there's no one else I'd rather have at my back in a fight. She definitely would belong in the Slug Club.
