The tequila is in fact an equivalent of the lobalug venom, the harmful effect of which is neutralised by acidic substance such as lime and pineapple. When mixed properly the drink is perfectly harmless and alleviates symptoms such as sluggishness due to atmospheric pressure. However, incorrect mixture can cause mild poisoning, so the drink is better left to be made by the experts, as it must have a well measured ratio. Also, this drink is considered valuable because collection of the lobalug venom is a practice controlled by the ministry.
