And it's not like it's impossible to do these things. You can put restrictions on TV, the internet, and CDs. As a child I wasn't just given money to buy whatever. My parents saw what I bought. They also saw what I watched and what sites I visited online.
With the boom of technology and information that is the new millenium, I'd find it impossible that parents could even hide from these things that would help censor their child's media experiences.
