Now that I've run this past the officials, here is your new lovely updated FAQ :)

CLUBS FAQ
1. I was just sorted into Slytherin/Ravenclaw/Hufflpuff/Gryffindor and want to join the clubs. What do I do?

You should first join hogwartsishome and your new common room (cunningfolk, gryff_lions, ravenclaw_house or the_puff_house.) Also ensure that you have read all of the Clubs FAQs as well as the main FAQ of Hogwarts is Home (found here) so you are aware of all our rules and regulations. After reading those, and getting the OK to join your common room, go ahead and join hh_clubs (or any other HiH affiliated communities). Please be patient in waiting for approval -- it may take one or two days.

2. I've joined hh_clubs, now what can I do?

We currently have 15 Clubs running. You can join any of these clubs, just follow the links off the hh_clubs info page (found here.) An application and other regulations may apply.

3. I have a fabulous idea for a new club, and want to start it right away! What do I do?

You can't as of yet. There are plenty of clubs currently running. When applications for new clubs are being accepted, an official post will be made letting you know. If you really think it's that fabulous, contact the Clubs Mods (intotheheart and shayuko) or Bunny (funn_bunn_83) with your ideas.

4. Ok, I've joined (Name of Club) but I can't find the post I'm looking for, what do I do?

All club posts and official posts made in this community have been catalogued in the Memories page, found here. Click on the appropriate Club to find dated links to all of its posts.

5. I'm the leader of (Name of Club) and I have an idea for a contest/activity/discussion/etc, what do I do?

Once you come up with an idea for any club activity, be it discussion, duel, contest or whatever, please contact funn_bunn_83. If she approves, you can then implement your contest/activity. In the email please include any details you have including how points will be handed and the objective of the contest. If it's a duel, any questions that will be asked and their answers, the time it will take place and any other details involved. If you are having a discussion, send the question and any info on how points will be awarded. Contact information can be found on HiH's main FAQ, found here.

6. How should I award points?

Use the system set up by hogwartsishome for contests. Award 50 points for first place, 40 points for second place, 30 points for third and 10 points to anyone who participated other than the three winners. If you are merely having a discussion or something of the like award a maximum of 5 points per entry. Try awarding on a scale. An intelligent, thought-provoking post will get 5 points, while a post that merely agrees with what someone else said would earn 1 or 2 points. Points should be somewhat lax, but don't go overboard with them. All point awarding should follow the regular HiH points awarding system, which can be found under "Rewards & Punishments" in the Newbie Guide here. You may arrange your OWN points system, providing you receive Bunny's (funn_bunn_83) approval beforehand. Please note that Knuts are not awarded at hh_clubs.

7. Why are there no knuts being awarded? What can I use knuts for anyway?

There are no knuts being awarded because hh_clubs is supposed to mirror clubs in the real world. If these were clubs in actual life, then you would not be getting paid. If you need information on what knuts are for PLEASE read the FAQ's over on HiH's user info page.

8. Okay, what do I do about all the points I'm awarding?

Each month, intotheheart or shayuko will make a post asking for point totals. Just comment to that post with the following information: Name / Club you are Leader Of / Points Divided Up by: Slytherin/Gryffindor/Ravenclaw/Hufflepuff.

9. How many contests/activities/whatever can I hold each month?

You MUST post two (minimum) activities per month according to your Group number. The clubs have been divided into two groups, to create an even flow of Clubs activity and keep clumps of inactivity down. Calendars and dates of activites can be found on the hh_clubs info page. Other activities beyond the two minimum are allowed and often encouraged :) Just be sure to include the name of the club in the Subject of your post for memories purposes.

10. I still have questions not covered here! What do I do?

If you still find yourself confused then don't worry. You can ask any of the club leaders questions about their particular club. If your questions still haven't been answered then you are more than welcome to make a comment to any of intotheheart's or shayuko's posts, or contact them individually.
