Art Club

Hi, I'm your new Club leader, Mandy, here with the first August challenge. I'm not sure how good I'll be at coming up with crazy things for you-all to draw, but I'll try my hardest to make them interesting and fun! :D

As near as we can figure, the wizarding world isn't that different from the Muggle one, at least in terms of gadgetry, though they don't have any electricity, which has got to count for something. But sometimes they use something very different to get the same job done - for example, ice-mice to floss, instead of just plain-old floss.

The first August challenge is to design and draw/photomanip a "magical" version of something very mundane and as non-magical as you can think of. For example, the most mundane thing I can think of is an electric toothbrush, so I figure a magical, self-automated toothbrush would look something like this:

(Only hopefully a little better than mine, as I did this at the last minute ^^; )

Submit your art in the comments here. You have until Sunday, August 21st to submit. If it looks like not enough people are submitting, then I'll probably extend the deadline another week (art takes time, after all), but if you can do it this week, go for it! ^^

Also, if anyone can give me some more info on how this club is done (re: points, past challenges, etc.), could you please drop me a line in my journal? ::looks pointedly at Lena:: Because really, I'm just guessing here~

Remember, if you haven't joined the Art Club yet and would like to, either just join in on this challenge, or go introduce yourself in this post :D

Edit: Deadline has been extend for another week, since there've been only 3 submissions (one of them late as it is ^^;). New deadline is Sunday, August 28, at midnight PST.
